The Franchise Business Radio show is a platform to bring together business professionals to connect, educate and collaborate to serve the franchise community and those considering franchise ownership.
On a recent episode, guest Terri Harof, the Director of Franchise Development for Workout Anytime shared about her experience, her passion for franchising and reasons behind success.
Here are some brief excerpts of the interview between host, Pamela Currie and guest, Terri Harof.
Currie: What general advice would you give based upon your experience?
Harof: I think franchising is absolutely the way to go! If you partner with the right franchise, then you get everything you need, the support, the training, the infrastructure and the game plan to follow! Workout Anytime puts together a game plan for its franchisees. If you follow that game plan, there is a really, really good chance you’re going to be successful. Obviously, I don’t have that magic ball.
Currie: You don’t have the crystal ball?
Harof: Not yet, but I’m working on it! We really do provide our franchisees everything that they need to be successful. But what I recommend to anybody who’s looking at franchising, whether it’s with Workout Anytime or anybody else, you want to absolutely make sure that you learn everything you possibly can. I tell potential franchisees, that my job is to give you all the information you need to make a great decision. Whether it’s to become a franchisee or not, because it’s not for everybody. There are some people who are extremely entrepreneurial and they really want to do it their way. And if that’s your personality and if you have a hard time following a system, then this may not be the best way for you to go.
Currie: Yes, following the system is an important factor behind success.
