Do You Have What it Takes?

We know veterans have what it takes and franchising is ready to have you join the ranks.

Supporting veterans in franchising is easy. Not only do they make terrific business owners, they embody their chosen brand – and, they always give back to their communities.

Some brands believe veterans are great candidates because they have a track record of following a process, which is very important in franchising; but they do much more than that. Veterans are valuable to a brand as owners because they also lead by example. They do the right thing.

Franchise founders and sales development executives always consider veteran candidates favorably. Those who have served their country take risks, which can be a valuable characteristic in a new business owner, even for a franchise start up. Typically, while there is less risk in a franchise brand, it still takes guts to sign the franchise agreement. (I know, my husband and I did that once.)

Veterans are among the best business owners out there; they put others first, whether it’s their family, staff, customers, community or country. We all can agree we need to care for others, maybe more so than other times in our country’s history.

In this November 2020 issue, I’m happy to be a part of recognizing service men and women, providing a reminder that the franchising industry wants to help them to take on their next challenge.

Franchising leaders, no matter what industry, help aspiring entrepreneurs to make a decision to start. New business owners have the support of the brand and an organization that is bigger than just the individual owner. Founders, all the way down to each local owner in a community, are all working together to achieve a similar goal to see success from their combined efforts.

Those who take up the challenge to start their own business are a rare and admirable breed. Things may seem uncertain now, but what we do know is that there are people who make decisions every day to take a chance and rise to the challenge.

Are you ready to serve others while you create a future for yourself and your family? Now is the time to start
